Listened from 1425-1549 utc. More MW audio heard last year on this date than this morning. More upper channel audio than lower channel. Best signal of the morning was from HLCA which managed a fair signal and was playing "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer". Last years to date receptions listed on bottom of page. Have a good week.

774    JAPAN, Akita, JOUB NHK2 1433 weak signal with man in Japanese and moderate splatter.  W-SW ewe. 12/17/2012

774     JAPAN, JOUB NHK 2 fair signal at 1528 with Japanese.
1422   JAPAN, JORF 1548 fair signal with Japanese talk and music.
1422   + UNKNOWN, 1548 maybe CRN 1? weak signal, under  JORF.  ? language talk.
1566   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1553 fair signal with man singing. + Pips heard at 1600 utc with fair signal.  Poor signal at 1631 utc.  
1575   THAILAND, VOA 1534 weak signal with Asian language talk. + Good signal at 1553.            
1584   UNKNOWN, 1535-1538 seems like Asian station, maybe two stations? Weak to fair signal at times.  
1593   CHINA, CRN 1 1538 fair signal with Chinese a KOHI splatter.
