[IRCA] TP's & DU's for Monday, October 22, 2012

The higher channels this morning broke out of the doldrums with super strength. 1318 utc HLAZ & VOA both had good signals. 1345 utc China on 1377 produced a fair signal followed by a good signal for China 1044 at 1353 utc. China 1593 with good signal at 1404 utc. No China on 1206, which I thought was strange since the other Chinese stations were being heard. 1476 was in with a poor signal, presumed China? No Japanese powerhouse stations with audio this morning. Two second tier Japanese stations JORF 1422 & JOUF 1503. Many carriers (hets) on the upper channels. Never experienced such a domination of Asian upper channel stations like this morning.    


153   RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1302 fair signal with man in Russian. NW ewe. 10/22/2012

603   UNKNOWN, 1421 very weak signal at 1421, did not sound like HLSA programming. Talk in Asian language followed by music. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

738   TAHITI, Radio Polynesie 1330 very weak signal with man in French. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1044  CHINA, CRI 1353-1400 very good signal with woman/man in Japanese. Last received here on 9/26. Music and talk |TOH. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1053  REPUBLIC OF KOREA 1339 fair signal from jammer. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1314  JAPAN, JOUF 1414 assuming the station with very weak signal with music. Moderate domestic splatter. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1377  CHINA, CNR1 1345-1350 weak to fair at times. // 6030 with Chinese talk and music. Moderate domestic splatter. First time this season. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012  Still in at 1412.

1386  JAPAN, JO?? NHK2 1341-1342 weak signal with woman in Japanese. Could not check NHK2 powerhouse parallels as they were just weak carriers. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1422  JAPAN, JORF 1411 weak signal with woman speaking and a lot of domestic splatter. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1458  UNKNOWN, 1428 fair signal moderate splatter. Slow playing song with woman singing. Checked Chinese // 7210 no match.  

1476  CHINA? 1409 poor to very weak with bits of Asian language coming in. W-SW ewe. Not heard since 09/28. 10/22/2012

1503  JAPAN, JOUK NHK1 1407 weak with woman in Japanese. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1566  REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1306 fair signal with woman in Japanese.1318 Good signal. W-SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1575  THAILAND, VOA 1312 fair signal with woman in Vietnamese. (PALs). 1319 good signal.  W=SW ewe. 10/22/2012

1593  CHINA, CNR1 1404 good signal with man in Chinese. NW ewe. 10/22/2012
