No Russian long waves heard this morning. A index at 42 I was surprised to catch KTKN 930 kHz Alaska with a ID at 1207.  42 is the highest I remember, anyone know what the highest A index has been? JOAK 594 still around with weak signal at 1450 utc.. Again low channels much better than upper channels. Only three DU's heard this morning. Expected a lot of DU's when I read the Solar Indices report. Listened from 1137-1451 utc.

567    JAPAN, JOIK NHK1 1405 good signal with moderate splatter at times. // JOAK 594. W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012

594    JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1145 fair signal with woman/man in Japanese. Some splatter. 1407 good signal. W-SW ewe. Still around with fair signal 1443. 10/10/2012

666    JAPAN, JOBK NHK1 1420-1421 fair to nearly good signal with man in Japanese. // JOAK 594. W-Sw ewe. 10/10/2012

693    JAPAN, JOAB NHK2 1408 good signal with moderate splatter. Woman in Japanese. W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012

738    TAHITI, Radio Polynesie 1148 fair signal with moderate splatter from KCBS. Man in French. W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012

738    AUSTRALIA, 2NR weak signal over Tahiti with man in English. Seemed to match live stream. W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012 
 
774    JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1137-1142 good signal, then faded out for 2 minutes. Back at 1442 with fair signal. Man in Japanese. NW ewe. 10/10/2012

828    JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1150 fair signal with man singing. // 774. W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012

873    JAPAN, JOGB NHK2 1356 good signal at times. Woman in Japanese. Semi rare powerhouse station, never thought reception was possible with A index at 42? W-SW ewe. Still around at 1424 with weak signal. 10/10/2012

891    UNKNOWN 1413-1416 weak signal with woman in Asian language. Not NHK1 JOHK. Guessing HLKB? W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012

891    AUSTRALIA, 5AN? 1416-1417 very weak under unknown Asian station. Man in English. W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012

930    ALASKA, KTKN Ketchikan 1207 fair signal with two KTKN IDs within 30 seconds after end of news. "Born in the USA" Bruce Springsteen song. Faded down to equal terns with Spanish station. New station here. W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012.

1053   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 1359 jammer is good signal. 10/10/2012.

1566   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ FEBC 1245 fair signal with woman in Japanese. NW ewe. 1426 fair signal with Chinese. W-SW ewe. 10/10/2012
