Hi Jim,

Glad to hear that. I had a telephone call from California but I was busier
than a one armed paper hanger so could not chat. Also had a call from
Nashville after the test. We have a nice QSL card and we will respond to
all reports.

David, your test got out really well. You should get lots of reports soon. I
need to go back and listen to my recording but hopefully I grabbed some of
the Morse code. I'll be in tough later. Thanks very much for the test. Lots
of happy DXers out there right now.

Hi Jim,

Yes, we are on track. The test will begin at 1:00 AM Pacific time on Sunday
Morning and last for half an hour. There will be a full minute of Morse
Code at the top of each five minute segment. The Morse Code will be VVV VVV
VVV de KRPI KRPI KRPI at 1000 Hz followed by the same sequence at 1500 Hz.
The speed is about 12 WPM. There will be an occasional announcement
indicating that the station is engaged in a test, and there will be a mix of
East Indian Music and Old Time Appalachian Fiddle Band Music.

We will be running day power (50kW) and day pattern during the test.

I am really looking forward to this event and hope it proves successful.

Hi Dave - just checking to make sure we are on track for the DX test this
weekend.

Incidentally, do I owe you some Morse code audio files? If so, please just
let me know what you need (time length and anything special you want
included other than call letters). I'll create the files and email them to
you pronto. I hope you can include the Morse code as that will REALLY
improve your chances of being heard. Lots of buzz on our email lists about
the test so I know lots of folks will be listening.

Thanks and all the best,

Jim Pogue
