Hi Derek,

Thanks for your interest in the new FSL antenna design. There isn't yet
a video describing how to build one of these weird ferrite-based
antennas, although hometown DXing buddy Guy Atkins did shoot and post a
demonstration video of the 8" Medium Wave FSL's performance shortly
before I took it up to the 400' ocean side cliff in Oregon this summer

I'm scrambling to complete assembly instructions for a 7" diameter
"Affordable" Medium Wave FSL (designed to be constructed for under $150
in component cost), although the sellers of Russian surplus ferrite on
eBay are always trying to get more rubles for their rods, and securing
the large collection of ferrite rods at a reasonable price is always
the major challenge in completing an FSL construction project. The FSL
antenna does have a figure-8 reception pattern, which might be more
useful in chasing TP's on the west coast than chasing TA's in the
