For anyone that will be in Colorado Springs on Sunday I am
going up to Pikes Peak on the Cog Train and it looks like
it will be a fun trip.  So if anyone wants to go let me know.

Take along an ultralight radio and see what you can hear
from up there.

I do remember working someone in Denver with a handheld 2m rig when I was there around 1990. Worked fine even at 100mw. Maybe 50 miles distance. It would be quite interesting to see what AM groundwave is in mid-day from there. Anyone have a Perseus and laptop with a useable antenna? A recorded scan would be seriously cool. Too bad it closes before dark.
