[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 11-20

Hello All,
 
     West coast DXers who were unimpressed by a  mediocre sunrise TP 
enhancement this morning may be interested to know that  the early morning 
(0930-1100) Asian sunset session was equally poor, and that  they certainly didn't 
miss any good DX. TP signals during both  sessions were limited to the "big 
guns," and they certainly didn't sound very  big.
     Around 1000 a couple of Asian powerhouses (747 and  1566) managed good 
audio, but the great majority of TP's stayed asleep  (which would have been 
the right idea for DXers also, by the  way). Night-owl Asian signals in 
general were seriously down from  yesterday's 0930-1100 session, and it seemed 
unrealistic to set up the  large loops in the cold back yard. The logical 
option was to try for better  propagation again, around sunrise.
     The sunrise session started at 1430, and  although everything was set 
up to chase Asians as usual, the TP's seemed to be  still asleep. Sunrise 
enhancement brought Asian signals up  to yesterday's anemic levels, with a few 
big guns (594, 648 and 828)  producing fair to good audio before the band 
folded early, around  1520. The twin sessions produced about 4 decent "big 
gun" TP signals  between them, despite the seemingly favorable solar indexes. 
Maybe the December  doldrums are arriving early? 
 
     The following were heard on a C.Crane SWP  Slider model (7.5" 
loopstick) "barefoot" (0945-1030) and inductively coupled to  a 9' sided PVC tuned 
passive loop (1430-1520) in the back yard:
