[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 11-8

Hello All,

After the appearance of several "big gun" TA's on the west coast last
night it seemed like Fall Season propagation was finally living up to
expectations. This morning's Asian results were fairly good, but the variety
and signal strength of the "second tier" TP's dropped off a little, in
comparison to the excellent results of the last couple of days.
The band was already alive with signals at 1400, with the Asian "big
guns" doing especially well. 603-HLSA managed unusually strong audio around
1503 (occasionally with its UnID Chinese co-channel) for its best
performance of the season, and at 1453 the Chinese Synchros on 639-CNR1 were also
close to their best seasonal level. All the usual Asian mega-stations on
648, 657, 666 and 675 had decent audio at times, with 648-VOR's 1500 UTC
Korean program now becoming more vibrant with the progressively later sunrise
enhancement period. In comparison to yesterday the signals from 738-BEL2,
1566-HLAZ and 1575-VOA were down slightly, along with the Chinese on 756, 936
and 1035. The NHK "big guns" were still going strong at 1520 when things
needed to be wrapped up here, and along with the new Standard Time schedule
locally, the sunrise enhancement periods will continue to get even later
each morning.
Some late-season changes seem to be taking place, with the Asian "big
guns" on 594, 828 and 972 starting to have pesky Chinese co-channels like
last year (along with an occasional appearance of the KBS1 co-channel under
594-JOAK). Last November several of the NHK mega-stations started to have
weaker signals toward the end of the month, allowing these obscure
co-channels to rise up and be heard.

The following were received on the C.Crane SWP Slider model (7.5"
loopstick) inductively coupled to a 9' sided PVC tuned passive loop (in the
back yard). A modified ICF-2010 (30" loopstick) was used as an SSB spotting
receiver:
