[IRCA] Nice DX this morning > ON

In all directions. Weird stuff, like a het on 756 just before dawn here. On the East or southeast wire (can't remember). My hunch is a even at this late hour it was a remnant of Switzerland, rather than a TP.

One new catch: 600 CJWW with calls, country music, etc... from Saskatoon. Been after this one for a long time, surprirsed at how it dominated 600 for awhile. Might have some of it on tape, and there might be K-calls in there too.

630 seemed absent of the CFCO pest from Chatham ON. I doubt CFCO was off, as it seemed to return rather weak. But for awhile I had Spanish talking there, after sunrise. Maybe Mexico, but was on my se-nw wire, so it is likely Minnesota. I have some of it on tape and will post later, to see if anyone recognizes anything distinct about it. that faded and left Scranton PA alone in its stead for a long while (relog).

1670 Ottawa seemed off or somehow deep-sixed, leaving mostly Madison WI but also an unID TIS doing NOAA weather radio.

1190 noted with country just as the SK stuff was faded (also had 540 strong, 620 strong, 650 medium-strong, and 690 very strong). Had checked earlier but IBOC from 1200 was too much. Had pop-rock-AC on 1330, hoping for the SK station, but stations cluttered up and I got a WSPQ (NY) ID - which is what I'm leaning towards, rather than SK, for the music I was hearing.

550 KFYR Bismarck ND
570 just Kitchener ON and Syracuse NY, no sign of Swift Current SK.

Tried some channels for Alberta, but no luck.

1620 at one point had a distinct echo with two Radio Rebeldes, //5025. Each was maybe a fraction of a second off the other. The second one would be a new catch. I think I've seen this reported before. Last evening, too, Rebelde was giving fits to the steel drums that I presume was the Virgin Islands .

1640 ESPN from Mississippi was was stronger than Disney from WI.

Worth getting out of bed early. It all ended at 0730 EDT.

BTW, I am pretty certain my unmodulated 840 last was Haiti; either that or a Boston-area pirate I have not yet heard about. Most certainly Creole-type French.

Very badly modulated French or Spanish station, best on east wire with WHAS nulled. Signal not bad, but hard to make out language. 2310 EDT.

Pirate? Caribbean station? Or is WRYM CT badly modulated?
