Re: [IRCA] License of CHSC-1220 St Catharines ON NOT renewed by CRTC, will go silent

Back when there no USA 1220 stations outside Cleveland broadcasting at night, we in East Tennessee could sometimes hear CHSC and CJSS Cornwall under WGAR, mixing with XEB Mexico City. Reception of all three ended promptly in December 1986, when the daytimers on 1220 (and 730, 800, 900, 1050 and 1570) all went fulltime.

What a shame. This station has been one of my beacons for good Eastern
onditions. I heard this station the first time back in the 60s or 70s,
 think. QSL'd years ago.
