[IRCA] TP for 18 Mar from Victoria, BC

A rather sparse morning today; for the most part, only the big guns showed
consistently, and not all that strongly, with occasional weak signals popping up
briefly on other channels. Listening times around 1300, 1340 and 1410UT.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

828 JOBB
1566 HLAZ mostly before pattern change at 1345UT

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK
666 JOBK //594 at 1337
774 JOUB

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

873 JOGB //828
1143 CC talk by woman at 1412 assumed to be Taiwan
1422 JORF JJ talk at 1414UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

279 R. Rossii assumed
567 JOIK //594
702 seemed //828 so NHK2
747 JOIB
864 woman talking at 1415UT, JJ?
954 assumed JOKR
972 assumed HLCA
1008 may have been JJ talk, but too deep in the murk to be certain
1044 possibly CRI w/JJ talk by woman, but too weak to be certain of //
w/shortwave channels
1134 JOQR?
1287 JOHR?
1386 NHK2 //828
1476 hum and woman talking, later on
1575 VoA?
1593 seemed //4460 so CNR1

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

1053,1098 DU, 1251

best wishes,

Nick
