[IRCA] TP for 29 Jan from Victoria, BC

An underpowered but  interesting morning.   Most of the action was at the top of the band, and almost all Japanese.   Best DX was a relog of NHK2 on 1512.  Matsuyama is listed in PAL as 5 kw directional, but don't know in what direction, and there are others at lower power.  Listened from 1525 to 1545 UT.


pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

none


reasonable audio  at  times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

774 JOUB; but not as consistent as JORF below
828 JOBB
1422 JORF, fairly steady signal JJ talk and mx


not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

1314 JOUF w/JJ talk
1566 HLAZ w/CC talk;  good enough strength to hear the laughing lady again (if you know HLAZ' CC program, you'll recognize her); a truly portly carrier


Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
