Patrick, I recall you posting a few months ago about slow or expensive (or
both) broadband in your area. Is that correct? The only reason why I ask is
because some wireless carriers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon) subsidize the cost of a
netbook to as little as $50-$100 if you sign up for two years of their
broadband service.  This is the same business model that carriers have been
using for decades with cell phones.

One thing to consider is the peak and real-world average speeds of the
wireless network in your area, such as whether it's fast enough for the apps
and services you use. Another consideration is how the $50-$70/month for
wireless broadband compares to the wired broadband services in your area.

Most wireless carriers also cap your monthly usage at 5 GB, so yet another
consideration is whether you use or would use that much on a regular basis.
