Re: [IRCA] More TA action?

Yes, 1539 has done especially well this year. Much better than 1575 today. No luck with 1521 here, but I was getting weak audio on 1125, and also audio on 1035. I'm guessing 1035 would likely have been either Portugal or Estonia? Doesn't sound Portuguese, but hopefully I have enough recorded on that one sometime can pin that down for me.

You guys out west do much better with 1539 than I do here in the midwest. I have only had Spain there and back years ago when there were more Spaniards on 1539 as I recall than now. Check for 1179 and Sweden has been audible. 1521 also decent at times. 1503 had some mideast mx fading up. No audio yet on 1575 which you guys out west seem to get better than I do. No luck yet on 531 inspite of a ripping het. I just can't be sure what the audio occ. getting by CIAO is.

Am using the E1 rather than R8A as my jack in the truck seems to have blown a fuse and I don't think my direct hook up to the battery is giving me enough juice to run the R8A properly. (will attend to that tomorrow) but perhaps it is just the cold (-13C and worsening)

E1 is decent when used with a good external antenna system, but R8A is still superior for splits. 73 KAZ Barrington IL..Phased BOGs for TA..355 ft// 215 ft at 42 deg
