Going to try something - going to get my big loop to actually tune upper band.
Now that you mention it, there is always a moderately good carrier --
if you will permit S units for a moment...

When 774 is 10db over S9 as it often is some mornings...
1566 might be S3 or S4.
Which still begs the question -
Why the difference?

At Tofino, 1566 leads the pack - at Jordan River, 1566 is always there.
I have been in the countryside around Victoria when 1566 is coming in
on a car radio...

So....
