Yes, it is up to the person on what aspect's of the hobby you enjoy. For
a time I DXed the Tropical Bands often when MW was poor. I still do on
rare occasions. Then back in the 70s, I was heavily into FM & TV DX. I
still DX that, but rarely. I knew of one DXer that would travel around
and hear a station locally and send for a QSL. I record about everything
I hear mainly because of getting a QSL, but I continue to keep the
recording even after I get the QSL for history.
