I also think something is amiss with CHOK's night pattern as they seem too easy here in NE IL and also note that CKOC 1150 has seemed too strong here for their night pattern for nearly a decade.

But both are powerful stations and not that far away and perhaps somewhat more power gets out to the sides at 15-20 deg angle than what is shown by the plots, presumably at the horizon.
