[IRCA] TP's for Apr 7

A swing back to Asiatics this morning, I think, though there wasn't much time to listen, so can't be 100% certain. Listened at 1315UT for a few minutes, and to speed things up, used the SDR-14 to look for likely suspects. Several of the second string Japanese channels were briefly audible. The propagation monitor showed a peak on 612 at around 1335UT, so I definitely missed that.

Asiatic unless otherwise noted:

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly): none

reasonable audios (though often battling w/splash): 828 (NHK2), 1566 (HLAZ)

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 567 (NHK1 //594), 774(NHK2)

Burbles in the splatter and noise: 594 (NHK1), 693(NHK2), 747(NHK2), 972 (likely S. Korea; big carrier), 1134, 1287, 1422 (all likely the Japanese commercial stations on those channels)

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1053, 1098 (DU; noted at a brief check at 1344UT)

The recheck at 1344UT also yielded an "FEBC" ID just before the end of the Japanese broadcast, not strong but fairly clear.

best wishes,

Nick
