Re: [IRCA] QSLing >>> & Recording

Most of us are probably aware that there are groups or individuals who
are gathering and preserving the QSL collections of those DX'ers who
have passed on, but I've often wondered whether anyone would care about
preserving audio recordings made by DX'ers.

I had about 800 stations recorded via tape from my Northern NJ days in
the 1960's and 70's, and I've added 300+ from here since via PC
recordings. Much of the material from NJ is from tests or from stations
on splits in Latin America which wouldn't be heard again.

I know I'm enjoying playing back and separating out the NJ clips which
have been mostly converted to mp3 from the tapes, and I might even
listen to them more now that I'll have them available, but I also
sometimes wonder why I'm really doing this ;-{
