While working in the Ultralight DX Sprint tonight, about an hour after sunset, I clearly heard typical bubble gum Disney programming and the Radio Disney ID. The station looped directly to my east or west from north-central Oklahoma. The only station that seems to fit by location and frequency (I was using a digital-dialed radio) is WEUP in Huntsville, AL. I'd heard a couple of stations at the upper end of the band from the Nashville area, so that lends credance to this being WEUP. However, long-term, WEUP has served by and been a part of the African-American community. WEUP's website shows no sign of a switch to Disney. Is there a new Disney station on 1700????

Thanks!

Hi John........I logged WEUP tonight during the Sprint...and they were playing SOUTHERN GOSPEL......No sign of Disney.

Maybe you had Brownsville Texas with OLDIES??? Only thing I can see that fits. But....you said you heard the Disney ID???? I can't see anything on 1700 with DISNEY???

Spur?? Image??? other than that....no Clue!!!

By the way...a Good night to SOUTH AMERICA from this Locale !!!! Heard Venezuela, Colombia, Netherlands Antilles and Mexico so far....and a PILE of CUBANS in as well.

3 Hours under my belt....with ONE Hour to go.....not sure whether to do more DX after Midnight tonight......or save it for Sunset tomorrow.....we'll see..maybe I'll split it??
