Gary,

Visited 3 more Fred Meyer stores last night and found no M37V's.
Did purchase the Sony SRF M85V for $24.99.  Excellent sensitivity
&  selectivity.  Has the digital 10 hz tuning.  

I believe the reason Fred Meyer is selling these radios at 1/2 price is because these radio have a analog broadcast tuner for the TV channels.  The radio had a consumer alert message taped to the plastic explaining the Feb. 17, 2009 switch to digital broadcasting.
