Patrick,

Nevermind. If you send a CD, I'll have one more CD I feel obligated to
keep even though the need for it was ephemeral.

Palawan is an out-back province that's been working hard to get the
touristers to visit. When we lived in the Philippines, the station
(whose call and frequency I forget) was rather rare. Probably
buried under QRM constantly.

There was a station, DZAA-650 Legazpi City that got a lot of publicity.

The standard picture postcard of Legazpi had the hotel that had
DZAA-560's tower atop it.

Also, barely visible was written on the white seaward side of the hotel
"Bicolwide Broadcasting Service," which was a wired broadcasting
system that carried DZAA's programming.

PP-1081 (Presidential Proclamation # 1081, by Marcos) was instrumental
in getting the station off the air...political reasons.

Marcos is history, and DZAA's owner died, so DZAA was never revived.

It was a nice station and had a great seawave/groundwave coverage
despite the tower being quite small for the frequency.
