Re: [IRCA] IBOC vulnerabilities

Craig,

This is a subject that is very important to us all. Anyway we can find
to cut down the QRN is a plus. I don't have an SDR-IQ computer receiver
as yet, but checking the aprox bandwidth on the R8 I find the bandwidth
on these IBOCers are all across the board. Some keep to their bandwidth
better than others. Some like KFBK, KGO & KEX seem wide as a barn. But
it may also have to do with their signal strength too. Some are easier
to get by.
One interesting item about IBOC is that when station adpots this,
there seems to be no more splatter. If I can get by the hash, it seems I
can get right next to the stations carrier and DX. So there is a plus in
all of this. Find a way to get rid of the hash, things might be better
in the longrun.

Patrick
