Minneapolis/St. Paul Historical Radio Aircheck Website

 

Historical airchecks of Minneapolis/St. Paul radio stations are available for
listening on www.radiotapes.com. This website features recordings of Twin
Cities area radio stations dating back to 1941, with many from the 1970s and
1980s. Stations featured include WDGY-AM, KDWB-AM, WCCO-AM, KSTP-AM, WLOL-AM/FM
and many more along with the most comprehensive collection of airchecks from
WYOO AM/FM (known as U100 Radio) from 1974-1976. Also included are various
recordings of format switches, major news events (e.g., tornado coverage) and
unique formats such as WWTC-AM?s ?All Weather Radio.?

 

Radiotapes.com was created to recognize Twin Cities radio stations and
personalities from the past and present. The site currently contains more than
300 posted recordings. There is no charge to access any of the airchecks.

 

A recently added feature to radiotapes.com is a collection of television news
video reports on Twin Cities radio, mostly from the 1980s.  

 

 

In addition to www.radiotapes.com, the Twin Cities is also home to other local
radio aircheck websites including www.twincitiesradioairchecks.com and
www.pavekmuseum.org.
