Re: [IRCA] CFB (Compact Florescent Bulbs) - Revisited

Curt,

Just because it's new, doesn't make it better. I have never been a
person that change comes easy. It is my nature I guess. I do like the
light weight inexpensive bulbs that I buy for 25 cents each! Since I
have gas heat, cooking, and the hotwater tank, my electric bill is
fairly low anyway. A few bulbs one way or another will make little
difference in the bill. In the evening, I have a couple bulbs burning.
That is it.
So, to keep peace of mind in my life, I will stick it out with the old
bulbs. Hey, it took me until 1992 to finally break away to solidstate.
Except for portables, I still used tube gear until the 90s. I bought the
R8 in 1992. Not because I wanted to get rid of the tube gear, but
because I had to deal with electric fencing and I needed a good noise
blanker. If it wasn't for that, I probably still would have been using
the SP-600.
