Walt,

I don't know the total reasoning, but in cases where stations have their
radials in the ocean or the bay, they get out much better. That goes for
many of the Aussies & Zedders I have logged. The conductivity of water
is much higher than land. However, salt water does distroy the copper
radials through the years, and the stations around here have not
replaced them as far as I know.
