It isn't just the short wave stations. Most, possible 95%, of all domestic
AM stations in the U.S. don't play the The Star Spangled Banner at any time
during their broadcast day. Perhaps they are aware that it won't be to much
longer, and their won't be any U.S.. as we know it today, left and therefore
no reason to play the The Star Spangled Banner.
