Re: [IRCA] 648 Russia and others in the region

Dennis

Yes Russia on 648 has been very good this spring and has been heard most mornings. Yesterday I did get audio but it was very weak no audio this morning. My noise level is very low which sure helps with these carriers and audio.

I have noticed that 648 Russia signal seems to be quite good lately. With Bill getting audio on them shows that either conditions are much improved or maybe they changed their antenna pattern or added more power? 648 was heard here weak on 03-02 at 1335, fair on 03-05 at 1242 and fair on 03-06 at 1221. During the 1200 UT hour the signal seems to be better than 1300 hours. The other TP station noticed with a much better signal is DPR Korea on 657. Very good carrier, but weak audio. > > Have also noticed that 1053 has a decent carrier, but not hearing the jammer. Russia, Korea and Japan are in the same region and conditions seem to be favoring this regions signals lately. The Japanese stations other than JOUB 774, have been putting in much better signals than usual. The Chinese stations have dropped off here lately. Higher channel stations have lost some of their dominance recently, even HLAZ 1566 has a weak signal more times than in the recent past months.> > Dennis,> Vancouver , WA> _______________________________________________> IRCA mailing list> IRCA@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca> > Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers> > For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org> > To Post a message: irca@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
