[IRCA] QRM reduction

I built the "noise squelcher" described in Monitoring Times, May 1996, by 
Doug DeMaw, some months ago.  It really does work.  It's not a panacea, but a lot 
of 
QRM can be reduced.

Has anyone else played with this or similar gear?
