For even the early 60s, that was a great catch from Texas.  They were 2
KW in those days as I remember too. I have Western Samoa on several
frequencies here, 1404, 1062, 747, 540, etc. 540 is 10 KW and gets out
well if cx are AU enough. Sometimes they own the channel.
