Howdy !!! :)

Appreciate the letter. Thanks for the heads up on the inexpensive rigs...will defo keep them in mind. My heart is set on either another Kenwood or similar type rig...lol...so I'm on a "Mission" to find one! :)
In fact, I'm awaiting now a reply from a guy that says he has a friend with SEVERAL extra Kenwood R-5000's & that he MIGHT be willing to donate one to me....So I've got my fingers & toes all crossed & twisted so much right now I'm surprised I can type! :P LOL!!!!!!

Is there any particular facet of Monitoring that you primarily enjoy? LIke Amateur Bands, Broadcast Stations, or Military Monitoring?

I enjoy Military Monitoring the most...have heard alot in the past...have heard Mrs Clinton aboard "Executive One - Foxtrot" (the 1st Lady's Aircraft Call Sign) attempting to make a phone- patched call to New York....and have heard a bomber flying back from a target range with a LIVE Bomb that didn't fully release stuck on the wing!!! & ALSO heard an 'unknown' aircraft (?) reporting his altitude as 92,000 feet!!!!!! Amazing!!! So those are just 3 examples as to WHY I like Mil-Monitoring & so desire a high quality table top receiver like the Kenwood.

If/when I get my rig going I intend to make a web-page to reflect my hobby. I've tons of ideas for it.

Oh...BTW...am originally from West Virginia, so we are former neighbors! :)

I'm located here in Orlando, Florida now tho. (Home of the "Mouse- House") Disney! LOL!

Take care - God Bless!!!

Sincerely,

Mike
