Bert,

One of my former shift supervisers [at VOA Greenville, NC) Grover
Avera, worked at WGOV for a while. Must have been back in the '60s or
thereabouts. Grover was always at loggerheads with me. Retired about
1990. Despite being a kind of nemesis to me, he was a good guy and when
he meandered in after retirement to harass us I was always glad to see
him. 

Do you recognize the name?
