Re: [IRCA] 480 RW beacon heard

Hi Patrick,
Unfortunately the RW beacon didn't transmit any more after my message of
last night. I stayed on the frequency for another 1.5 hours, and nothing
more was heard. He must have shut if off to do something. So if you were
trying for it after 0535 utc, then you wouldn't have heard it! I've
forwarded another note from another list, saying he's soliciting reception
reports, hopefully from every state.
I hear all the Colorado ndb's currently active including CO and AP. AP, at
790 miles from me, is strong and can be heard almost any night. DXing ndb's
is my main radio-listening interest since the 1980's. In the past month,
Brazil and Panama have been heard, for instance. During the summer many
Pacific beacons can be heard. Last summer I heard my first Indonesian
beacon.

Keep trying for RW; I'm sure you'll hear it eventually, at least when it's
actually on the air!
73,
Steve
