There appears to be some confusion about tonight's
test...
Program audio material will be available on both KKLF 1700khz
and KLIF 570khz. However, the station is most interested
in
reception reports for the 1700khz transmitter.
KLIF 570khz is much more widely heard, but
obviously
if you need both stations this is a perfect chance
to
snag them both assuming that conditions are good.
The station is concerned that some would log the
program
content on the 570khz frequency and then attempt
to
receive a verification for the (much harder to log)
1700khz
transmitter. That is why they have specified that a
tape
recording or MP3 file must be submitted for verification,
(Though I'm sure if you're asking for verification on
570khz
and clearly state that is where you logged the
Morse
Code, that will be fine)
Test begins at six minutes past midnight (Central Time).
Considering
that the test announcement included both the time zone and
even
the test time in UTC, I'm surprised people are
confused
on that issue.
If anyone has suggestions for how to make the test details
easier
to understand, I'm all ears.
