[IRCA] TP 18 Dec Victoria version.

Not quite so good as yesterday, but still pretty lively.

These mornings, the "sunrise" peak seems to be around 1540UT, about 20 minutes before actual sunrise.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

747 JOIB 1529UT

774 JOUB 1507UT

828 JOBB 1513UT

945 CNR1 1548UT

972 HLSA 1536UT

1566 HLAZ assumed, woman in Chinese, then man singing with choral accompaniment 1521UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling with splash or noise):

603 HLSA ballad 1514UT //558

873 JOGB 1526UT

1287 JOHR two men Japanese 1540UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK //594 1522UT

693 JOAB 1519UT

702 NHK2 //774 1513UT

819 N. Korea likely; woman singing operatically 1544UT

1188 JOKP //567 1536UT

1242 JOLF man in Japanese 1537UT

1575 VoA woman in SE Asian language 1537UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

558 HLQH //603 1514UT

612 woman on phone, sounded DU English 1513UT

666 JOBK //567 1506UT

837 man talking, Chinese intonation 1538UT

846 man talking, sounded Chinese, then into a commercial? 1538UT

891 JOHK //594 1501UT

855 man talking, Korean intonation? 1542UT

945 NHK1 violin music //594 1524UT

864 HLKR man talking //711 on Korean KiwiSDR 1550UT

909 JOCB //747 1521UT

1017 CRI man talking 1539UT //1323 on Korean KiwiSDR, only about 1 second delay

1053 man talking, Japanese intonation 1528UT

1089 slow orchestral music 1551UT, no parallels; CNR6?

1089 JOHB //747 1528UT

1116 man talking, sounded Japanese 1533UT

1134 woman and man talking, sounded more Korean than Japanese 1506UT

1143 woman talking Chinese intonation 1547UT; someone else there also.

1152 NHK2 music box 1541UT

1251 CNR1 //945 1549UT

1332 man talking Japanese intonation 1525UT

1575 Iran jammer, not strong, but there 1530UT, hiding any VoA ID

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

621 711 738 981  1008 1044 1098 1107 1179 1206   1269  1323 1422 1458  1503  seemed to be Asian;
 1548 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
