[IRCA] TP 16 Oct Victoria version.

A definite collapse this morning, even the big guns from Japan and Korea suffered. There was some DU action, including RNZ on 918 which is a rare visitor here.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

828 JOBB English lessons 1425UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

612 4QR teletalk, DU English, 1424UT; //various other ABC at various times

756 RNZ National folky vocal //675, 567, both very weak at 1421UT

774 JOUB English lessons 1422UT; likely 3LO underneath

972 HLCA man in Korean 1358UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

594 JOAK man in Japanese, no pips 1400UT, battling fair bit with 3WV

1287 JOHR briefly at this level with man in Japanese 1425UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

567 RNZ National woman talking //918 1414UT

576 man talking DU English intonation 1422 2RN likely

594 3WV man talking 1357UT, DU English intonation; weak fanfare at 1400UT clinched it

666 JOBK woman talking //594 1405UT

675 RNZ National woman talking //756 1412UT

702 2BL man talking //774 and 612 1420UT

738 2NR man talking // 612 with about 0.5sec delay, very confusing; 1407UT

747 JOIB man talking //774 1357UT

774 3LO man talking //612 1420UT

837 4RK man talking //612 with about 1 second delay 1406UT; not a common visitor here

873 JOGB English lessons 1411UT //774

891 man talking DU English intonation, seemed like teletalk 1422UT; 5AN?

891 JOHK woman talking //594 1404UT

909 ballad 1407UT, likely Star

918 RNZ National woman talking, //756 and 567 1413UT

963 man mumbling in a DU English sort of way 1403UT; Star?

1575 man talking SE Asian intonation 1419UT; north Flag better; VoA?

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

 801 945 1053 1134 1206  1242 1314 1323 1332 1386  1422  1566 seemed to be Asian;
531 603 621 792 819 846 882 936 1008 1017 1035 1098 1107 1116 1458 1503 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
