It was FULGENCIO Batista that abdicated, and I don't remember if he departed Cuba or was shot and/or hanged, or what. I do know that RR reported it as their clock ticked on.

This RR network has a history. During the entry on the scene of Fidel Castro until the Escambray Mountain battle all the way to abdication by Juan Batista, and during the Cuban Missile Crisis, this network has not skipped a pip or a tock or an "RR." Just keeps going.
