I felt the same way until I added the ELAD S2 receiver to my shack.
There is no way I could have logged 125 new stations this summer the old
fashioned way, but each to his own.
By the way, I still DX the old fashioned way when time permits.
Recording is just another tool in my DX arsenal.

I agree with Colin, unattended listening isn't real DX. I guess it's my old age but I have a disdain for recording multiple frequencies simultaneously, then trying to figure out what was received later.
