I can think of a couple of other California stations that have gone dark since 1968; I don't know if you ever heard them. They are 960 Lompoc and 1540 Capitola. My parents live near the Capitola transmitter site; the towers are still there. Lompoc has the dubious distinction of having two of their three stations gone dark; KTME-1410 is still on.

That leaves 274, of which 10 stations have went permanently dark since I started listening, putting a damper on my future chances to listen for them.  They are:

     * KIFX - 1280 - Fortuna

     * KNYO - 600 - Independence

     * KLOM - 1330 - Lompoc

     * KMSL - 1250 - Ukiah

     * KMYX - 1310 - Taft

     * KJAZ - 1590 - McFarland

     * KHPY - 1530 - Moreno Valley
