----------I remember driving around Sacramento in the late 50's listening to KGMB-590 on my car radio. A few years later KZOO-1210 was getting in the way of my China reception. And KTOH-1350
was armchair copy every night after midnight when the band was clear in the west. KMVI was always a monday morning regular. KCCN-1420 had great Hawaiian music. The ones on 940 & 970 were
LOUD.......Toughest ones were on 1130, 1170 & 1270. 1380 was pretty easy (I think)...Low band stations were quite easy, e.g. KUAI-720, KORL-650 & KIKI-830...I even heard them with 250 watts.
870 was easy too.
Those were the days when station owners knew how to run a station...........
