Re: [HCDX] [dxld] Radio Transmundial, Santa Maria, Brazil (?)

Guys using SDR radio units
should check the latest Hertz digit exact frequency on PC browser.

Zanzibar isl in Tanzania on 11734.998 kHz

or Brazilian Transmundial

11734.982 kHz, \\ 5964.976 kHz BRA Radio Transmundial from Brazil.

Thanks, Glenn H.. I've heard ZBC on 11735 kHz before and initially thought
it might be them. But the cadence/sound of the language seemed to be
Portuguese and the music definitely South American. After the transmitter
cut-off, there was just noise on the frequency so no sign of ZBC. The fact
that Glenn Blum logged the station as Radio Transmundial clinches it, I
think. And I forgot to mention that I checked the Twente WebSDR and there
was only a barely-noticeable carrier on the frequency. Might be home in
time this afternoon to have another listen.

I also logged them last night.

Richard,
I think it used to be reported going off early --- but what about Zanzibar?
Did you hear nothing of it before or after 2032?

Tentative reception of Radio Transmundial on
approx. 11735 kHz at 20:19 UTC today (1 December 2015) with
a weak noisy signal on a Tecsun PL-880 with just its whip
antenna indoors. What sounded like Portuguese talk and then
music. Abruptly off at 20:32 UTC before I had a chance to
compare with online streaming. Is this a usual sign-off time
for this frequency?
