[HCDX] 6090 Logs
Anguilla 6090 off the air allowing the following stations to be heard.
** BRAZIL. 6089.95, Radio Bandeirantes, 0300-0400, Sept 5,
heard as early as 2215 on Sept 4 when they started to fade in.
Continuous Portuguese talk. Fair signal with Anguilla off the air
but some QRM from Nigeria on 6089.85 and Ethiopia on 6090.

** ETHIOPIA. 6090, Amhara State Radio, *0257-0410, Sept 5,
heard this station thanks to Anguilla being off the air. Sign on with IS.
Announcements at 0300 followed by a variety of local flute music,
Horn of Africa music and some rustic vocals. Talk in unidentified
language. Mentions of Amhara. Weak at sign on but improved to a
fair to good level by 0320 but with QRM from Brazil on 6089.95 and
Nigeria on 6089.85. (Brian Alexander, PA)
** NIGERIA. 6089.85, Radio Nigeria, Kaduna, *0259-0315, Sept 5,
Anguilla off the air allowing Nigeria to be heard. Test tone at 0256.
Sign on with Radio Nigeria drums IS at 0259. Choral National
Anthem at 0301 followed by possible Qurâan. Talk in listed Hausa.
Weak. Poor with QRM from Brazilâs Radio Bandeirantes on 6089.95
