It sounds like another AM harmonic on 2720 kHz, which would correspond to a base frequency of 680 or 1360 kHz. I have not caught a station ID yet due to static crashes, but did identify some of the songs. At 0443 UTC Nirvana with "I don't have a gun", followed at 0446 UTC with REM's "It's the end of the world as we know it", then some songs which I do not know.
Tonight at 0033 UTC I heard the exact same sequence of songs, including the songs before and after these two. I'm guessing this is a transmitter test, with a playlist on repeat. No idea if they ID at any point. I'm also guessing they have not done a spectral purity test yet. The signal on 2720 is about 250 Hz high, or 2720.25 kHz. -- All rights reversed. ---[Start Commercial]--------------------- Order your WRTH 2009: http://www.hard-core-dx.com/redirect2.php?id=wrth2009 ---[End Commercial]----------------------- ________________________________________ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/ _______________________________________________ THE INFORMATION IN THIS ARTICLE IS FREE.
