4845ÂÂÂMAURITANIAÂÂÂR, Mauritanie 7/15/09 0655-0715 Two Om chanting in Arabic. At 0657Âswitched to just one Om talking, not chanting, in AA leading to a canned station ID and jingle at 0700. This was followed by another Om talking in AA, almost in a whisper because his voice was so soft or weak.ÂÂCodar made an appearance at 0708, but it didn't matterÂmuch because this was such a strong signal.ÂIn fact it was the strongest, most clear transmission I've heard out of Nouakchott in many, many months. (Barker-PA) 



5910 COLOMBIA Marfil Estereo 7/16/09 0715-0740 Pleasant Spanish pops, with ballads and lively tunes well-mixed. Plenty of Marfil Estero ID's by an Om in SS. At 0724 the dj began a block of uninterrupted music, lasting at least until tune-out at 0740. (Barker-PA) 



6170 NEW ZEALAND Radio New Zealand International 7/16/09 0800-0835 "Radio New Zealand News at Eight" sufficed for an ID because there was none at ToH. After the news the program 'Music from the Pacific' came on, featuring some great island tunes, mostly uptempoÂsongs with lots of drums and other percussion instruments. At 0715 a standard RNZI ID was given in English while it was repeated in French at 0723. There was regional news at 0830 followed by 'Dateline Pacific' at 0835. Signal was fair to good.Â(Barker-PA) 



9635 MALI RTV du Mali 7/14/09 *0800-0840 Interval signal at ToH with drums and flutes then Radio Mali ID by Yl in French.ÂÂYl began talking in a vernacular, which continued until 0825. Tribal music with drums and whistles and flutes until 0830. Yl began speaking in vernacular. Not the usual mixture ofÂsplendidÂindigenous musicÂfrequently heard this time of day. Signal was fair. No sign of Radio Mali on 5995 before the switch to 9635 at 0800. Nothing either on 7285 (sometimes used). (Barker-PA)
