China, 9500, China National Radio One, (pres), 0930-0945, Listed via
Shijiazhuan
in the AOKI database, note two males in Chinese language comments. Signal
was at a fair level with some splatter. (Chuck Bolland, May 2, 2009)
China, 9540, China National Radio One, (pres)0943-1000, This is the same
signal
as heard on 9500, but nothing listed for CNR-1 on this freq and during this
time period in either the EIBI or AOKI database. Reluctant to pull out the
Passport and WRTH#
since I'd probably find two more different options for these broadcasts.
Sometimes
when researching an Ident, I feel like I am trying to hold on to a "soup
sandwich"; it
is almost impossible to get a good grasp of a situation with all the
different listings.
(Chuck Bolland, May 2, 2009)
China, 9575, China National Radio One, (pres) 1001-1010, Noted the same
broadcast
here as heard on 9500 and 9540; however, this broadcast is much better than
either of
the above broadcasts. The signal here is at a good level. The EIBI
database lists this
broadcast as a "Jammer". What they are jamming* is difficult to determine
since the
frequency is clear of other broadcasts at least at my location. (Chuck
Bolland, May
2, 2009)
Russia, 7320, Radio Rossii, 1016-1030, At tune in noted music then two
males in
Russian language comments were heard. At 1019 the program returned to
music.
As the broadcast continued the splatter and QRM increased making copy from
Rossii very difficult. The signal however, remained at a fair level.
(Chuck Bolland,
May 2, 2009)
*Scanned the rest of the band to 10,000.00 KHz and could not hear any other
Chinese
broadcasts that were reaching Clewiston.
#I did take a quick look at both the Passport and WRTH and didn't see
anything
listed on any of the three frequencies reported above for CNR-1.
Clewiston, Florida
