Bolivia, 6134.77, Radio Santa Cruz, 2330-2345, Even though the
preceding time says 2330 UTC, I've been sitting on 6134.77 KHz
for almost 15 minutes prior. The signal however, just started to fade
in at a threshold level and by 2333 what already at a poor level.
Noted a lot of loud and excitable Spanish talk by a male which
I believe was a description of a soccer game. Unfortunately, the
signal did not improve beyond the poor level. Checked back at
0150 and signal had improved to a fair with a male in Spanish
language comments. (Chuck Bolland, March 28/29, 2009)
Czech Republic, 5930, Radio Prague, 2323-2355 Noted a male
in English language comments explaining a few aspects of the Czech
Society. He gives URL with ID. At 2345, the male discusses
Radio Prague and Radio Liberty and a woman who worked for
both back in the 60's is interviewed. Signal was fair. (Chuck
Bolland, March 28, 2009)
Unid, 4979.95, 0012-0030 Initially noted a female in comments.
Heard a male in there commenting too. At 0022 possibly Latin American
music presented briefly (only a couple of bars) then
a female comments. Nothing else by 0051. Signal never improved
enough to glean other details and was dropped. (Chuck Bolland March 29,
2009)
Bolivia, 4716.67, Radio Yura, 0050-0100 At tune in, noted just
singing by a female. At 0056 a male comments with a child in
Spanish. Difficult to get the drift of a conversation with the static
crashes wiping out the signal every few milliseconds. At 0103
music heard. Signal was threshold. Rechecked at 0145 and
noted a fair signal from Yura. So condx are improving tonight.
(Chuck Bolland, March 29, 2009)
Peru, 4826.46, Radio Sicuani, 0105-0115, With a male in Spanish language
comments. He may be talking politics indicated by the tone of his words.
At 0110 signal disappears for a couple of minutes, but is back by 0112.
Maybe the transmitter dropped of the air? Anyway the man continues to
talk. Signal was poor. (Chuck Bolland, March 29, 2009)
Bolivia, 3310, Radio Mosoj Chaski, 0120-0145 Notice a male and female
talking together in Spanish. The female doing most of the talking however.
Later a discussion with a telephone caller is conducted. At 0129, music.
Signal was fair to good when I tuned away at 0145. (Chuck Bolland, March
29, 2009)
