[HCDX] China
China, 5050, Guangxi Broadcasting Station, (Pres) 2327-0009, With a decent
signal at tune-in, noted a female in possibly Vietnamese language comments.
She continued during the period until the station began to fade at 2347.
From that point until 0009, all that I could hear was the carrier.
According to WRTH, the Voice of the Strait is suppose to be here also
during the 2300-2359 hour and to sine off at 2359, while Guangxi stays on
the air. The carrier of the station stayed on the air even beyond 0009,
suggesting that this was not the Voice of the Strait by it's schedule.
Checked for parallels and couldn't hear any for either station. Signal went
from fair to nil heard for audio. (Chuck Bolland, February 11, 2009)
Chad, 4905, RD. Nationale Tchadienne, 2158-2210 , Before the hour, noted a
period of steady drum beats until 2200. On the hour the beats stop and a
male in French language comments with news etc. At 2203 a female
comments further in French. Signal was fair. (Chuck Bolland, February 11,
2009)
