Stayed up waaay past my bedtime for an enjoyable DX session, logging a few stations I would normally miss. As a result, I'm sure I will be useless come this afternoon.

4770, NIGERIA, R. Nigeria Kaduna, 0628, Jan 27, vernacular. M ancr w/ nx; soundbites; "Reveille" trumpet blast at 0630 followed by presumed contact info w/ ment. of URL; broadcasting house & Nigeria, Ikorodu ending w/ another "Reveille" blast; W ancr followed; poor-fair. (Barbour-NH)

4790.1, PERU, R. Vision Chiclayo, 0309-0314, Jan 27, Spanish. Usual fare w/ singing congregation & occasional talk over; sounds like "canned" ancments; live preacher at t/out; battling w/ CODAR for dominance. (Barbour-NH)

4935, BRAZIL, tentative R. Capixiba Vitoria, 0012-0022, Jan 27, Portugeuse. M w/ animated talk; sounds like via a live event; studio ancr at 0021 w/ tentative ID in passing; ballad at t/out; poor-fair. (Barbour-NH)

5990, "ITALY"/SLOVAKIA IRRS-European Gospel Radio Rimavska Sobota 0533-0600, Jan 27, English. M ancr w/ relg talk at t/in; gospel mx at 0534; back to preaching at 0537 thru 0600 t/out when signal crushed by 5985-WYFR s/on. Preacher sounds like a cross between Harold Camping & DGS; poor. 5995, MALI, RTV Malieene, 0736-0800*, Jan 27, French. M ancr w/ lengthy talk; accompanied by strings at 0758; flute IS at 0800; weak but readable. (Barbour-NH)

6045, SAO TOME, VOA Pinheira, 0511-0530*, Jan 27, listed Hausa. M & W ancrs w/ nx; Afropop & HoA-like mx; re-cap of headlines at 0527 re Obama; Zimbabwe; pulled the plug at 0529 tho carrier remained; back w/ EE ID & IS at 0530*; fair at best. (Barbour-NH)

6250, EQ. GUINEA R. Nacional Malabo, 0600-0615, Jan 27, Spanish. M ancr w/ talk; "tinny" native mx & presumed rap; diff. ancr w/ talk & mx bits; poor; fading under increasing band QRN; tnx B. Alexander tips. (Barbour-NH)

9615, PHILLIPINES, RVA Palauig, 1133-1154, Jan 25, Mandarin. W ancr b/w ballads & brief mx bits; lite instrumental mx at 1154 then gone; fair. (Barbour-NH)
