Logs
** OKLAHOMA. Tornado outbreak early UT May 7. Already by 2227 UT May
6, tornado in next county. All four major OKC TV stations are
wall-to-wall, blowing away entire primetime schedules. FM bandscan
finds not a single OKC FM station plugged into TV coverage, business
as usual -- far-right extremist talk, stupid sports talk, commercials
and occasional music; nor at first around Enid. Finally by 0020, KFOR
is heard via 89.7 and 90.5 gospel huxters. KOFM 103.1 Enid finally
goes to weather coverage, local? much of it off-mike.

Each TV station has sibling ``sub`` stations where network prime can
be shunted. Not checked until 0350 UT when KSBI `52` has Colbert from
CBS instead of on KWTV `9`. NBC might have been shifted from KFOR `4`
to KAUT `43` but instead duplicating 4. KOCO `5` might have put ABC on
5.2, MeTV but not now, or ever? KOKH `25` Fox could go to KOCB `34`,
unchecked. All three of our TV screens in the studio are active,
leading us to conclude the same order of preference for storm
coverage, as the virtual channel numbers, 4, 5 and 9 [RF: 27, 7,
25].

A previous outbreak had WTW coverage blowing away NBC News at 5:30 CDT
as well as local KFOR news at 10 pm which normally plays back at 12:37
am - so we were pleased to find NBC News then instead, making it truly
`Nightly for once.

This night, as we are ready to run for our shelter, two tornado trax
storm just north of Enid and just south of Enid. How much longer can
our luck hold up? You may have seen what one of `our` tornadoes did
later to Barnsdall, Osage County (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, May 6 at 2206, VOT not off the air, S9+45/60
into UTwente, from news to `Review of the Turkish Press` at 2210
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.008, May 7 at 2158, VOT not off the air, IS audible
direct but insufficient vs noise level. Multi-hop propagation is still
degraded. After 2230 into Maryland SDR, it`s VG, S9+10/20. Badax is
talking for several minutes about what? I try to figure that out:
something about AI. 2245 outro as `Weekly Commentary`. They should let
the ``penner`` read it. 2246 ``always-by-your-side`` promo and
`Turkey`s Geomarked [sic] Products` - honey produxion in eastern
Anatolia from Caucasian bees, somekind of ``-- flower honey``. 2249
``with-you-every-hour`` promo, song. 2252 s/off by the OM mentions NO
SW, just satellite and internet. 2253.5 IS plays until 2255.7* chop,
no finesse, depriving us of any extraneous German to follow (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2241 monitoring: confirmed UT
Tuesday May 7 at 0344 the irregular 0330 on WRMI 7780, S9+15 into
Querétaro SDR.

Confirmed Tuesday May 7 at 1320 the 1300 on WRMI 9955, but S7 JBA
direct, my voice recognizable, and seems like crosstalk but nothing
else should be on 9955; no jamming audible, anyway. Next:

2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

As noncommercial services, financial support appreciated. Thanks this
week for a generous contribution from Dan Sheedy, Encinitas CA,
``Glenn, Feliz cumple-whosis & beeg thanks for all the DX info you &
the `WOR Crew` provide - Cheers from the beach, Dan``, to: Glenn
Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702.

Logs
** CANADA. 15034 USB, May 6 at 1459, JBA in degraded propagation,
Trenton Military, ``no report received`` from Victoria, Victoria, and
Comox, Comox; cuts off air at 1500* for usual ToH/BoH break as not
shown in EiBi. As if timeshared with another station - Not; was it
ever? Klingenfuss 2022 does show two other SSBs on 15034: CJX in St
John`s NF, and VXA in Edmonton AB, which I have *never* heard (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SAUDI ARABIA. 11935, May 6 at 1505, horrible humroar S2 audible
direct. Recheck at 1938, S9+15/20 into UTwente (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, Sun May 5 at 2231, I tune-in late to VOT
English, S9+30 into UTwente during music, but just in time for
`Letterbox` starting at 2234 --- NO, it`s ending, not starting. All
programs play exactly the same theme and ID for start and finish, so
they can never get them wrongly reversed. And the L`box always has
time to end with a tune after he`s running out of time; despite there
being plenty of fill music between shows and promos. Anyhow, I`ll have
to catch the final repeat 5 hours later. 2244 multi-lingual ID filler
reel. For this one, 2252 s/off by the OM rather than usual YLs, as if
closing the 1230 on ``15450`` -- not used since last summer!
Something`s always awry at Ankara. 2252.5 IS. 2256 restart IS with
German IDs, still 2300 TS and s/on extraneous German. I let it run in
the background until 2325 when I hear noise as it has finally cut off.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 7275.006, UT Mon May 6 at 0319 t/in to VOT English S8/9+10
INTRUDER in the N American 40m hamband, as `Letterbox` is already
underway, host learning what 73 means, from Alan Holder, IOW, as well
as 88 and 55. Then acknowledging reports from Breyel in Malaysia --
host misses KL, his ``second hometown``; India, India, India; someone
with a Russian name in ``Riga, Letonia`` -- that is the Spanish, and
Turkish? version of Latvia, just to further confusion with Lithuania;
0328 out of time, wrapping up, 0329 music before L`Box formally
closes, and we`re back to where we started one pentahour ago. This
time I recheck the closing: 0352 same ``15450`` boner, but IS and off*
well before 0356 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 305 MCW kHz, May 6 at 0644, RO, 400 watt `Topan` ND beacon
at Roswell NM, among few JBA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2241 monitoring: Also confirmed
Sunday May 5 at 2000 on IRRS via AM Italia, 1323 kHz into UTwente,
S8/S9 and no QRM but noisy.

I can`t help but notice that some MW DX editors will never publish my
Italy 1323 kHz monitoring; perhaps they would if WOR were not
involved??

Also confirmed Sunday May 5 at 2154 the 2130 on SW Radio, Germany,
3975.001, S9/+10 and noisy into UTwente, and 6160.001, S9/+10 not
noisy but with that RTTY dittery from about 6164 unless bandwidth
narrowed less than 8 kHz.

Also confirmed UT Monday May 6 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S8/9+10 into
Georgia SDR as Qro. is busy.

Not confirmed UT Monday May 6 at 0300 on Area 51 via 6160- WBCQ;
previous show ended on time and ID, but instead some extraneous drama.
It seems A51 at a whim can skip or delay WOR, but something is still
better than nothing, right? Still no WOR by 0319 as I need to catch
Turkey`s Letterbox anyway. But recheck at 0346 WOR is halfway and
ending about 0359 so must have started at 0330.

Also confirmed Monday May 6 at 1937 the 1930 on SW Radio, Germany,
S9+10/15 on 6160.000; S9+5/10 on 3975.002. Next:

0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW [irregular];
1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?];
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160.

As noncommercial services, financial support appreciated. Thanks this
week for a generous contribution from Dan Sheedy, Encinitas CA,

** CUBA. 15230, May 5 at 0055, RHC, S9+10/20, Spanish? not sure since
this is yet again severely sup/torted. Something`s always wrong at RHC
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Sun May 5 at 1500, RHC weekly Esperanto opening is JBA
S6/S7 and even worse on presumed // 15140, JJBBA. Following R3 level
radio blackout; and an X-ray event exceeded X1 at 1141-1243 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6940 AM, May 5 at 0036 JBA music vs HSNL: a
frequency to avoid due to ute about 6942, but not hearing it now. Many
much better logs of WLPR Long Play Radio:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,129220.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6930 USB, May 5 at 0037 pirate music at S9+10 vs
HSNL, better than the 6940-AM; and into Dr. Who theme, 0038-0040* off
some SSTV beepery. unID for me and for these but with fuzzy SSTV

(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.83 AM, May 5 at 0043, local Enid CB pirate on
again, relaying and // 105.5 K288FX of ``K-Love`` presenting ``top 3``
praise songs. S8/S9 atop but some QRM, hets from skippers. 27164.50,
May 5 at 0044, same a bit stronger here S9. Unfound on any other CB
channel; previously had it on three at once.

27184.79 AM at S9 and // 27164.48 AM at S9+3, May 5 at 1502, ID for
KYLV 88.9 OKC, as pirate relays presumably via Enid K288FX 105.5
translator (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SLOVAKIA [non]. 15770, May 5 at 0057, RSI closing English, S9+20/30
direct, almost as if switched from a NE to NW antenna, but WRMI never
does that? 0030 on System F shows // 5850, 7730, unchecked. As per
some press via WOR iog, the right-wing PM is trying to get parent
entity RTVS under his government control rather than an independent
public broadcaster (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO monitoring: ``Gary Drew Worldwide
name change --- Hi Glenn, Hope you're keeping well. GDWR has now
changed its name to Pirate Radio. This stands for Private Internet
Radio Alternative Trial Experiment P.I.R.A.T.E.

The new website is still under construction at

Pirate Radio - Private internet radio alternative trial experiment.
Playing Gary Drew shows past and present with restored archives from
the London Soul pirate stations of the 1980's and specialist
programmes at weekends and other radio material.

Nothing else has changed so the stream is the same. The new time for

and Sunday.

The second channel is now merged onto the one site; see the tab Pirate
Radio channel 2 to hear all your favourite offshore and land-based

Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 21495, May 5 at 0049, algo S3/S5 with Doppler flutter.
Likely FE such as China radio war, but only one hour a week for 21495

** U S A. 12160, Sat May 4 at 1700, `The Talking Machine Show` -
really mostly music, not talk! is the only WWCR program we make a
point of hearing, but this week there is continuous crosstalk of a
gospel huxter, TOMBS? well audible along with TTMS, not only on WWCR-2
but also on its stream which we always prefer. Something`s notright in
Nashville. Could be as simple as the TOMBS pot on the mixing console
not being completely down and no one notices - rather than
transmitter/antenna mixing. So back to Met Opera via KUCO with John
Adams` ``El Niño``, a modern take on the JC legend (Glenn Hauser, OK,
