January 20th, 2024. First Trans-Atlantic Longwave Beacon reception of the season. German Beacon DC0DX heard at 0434 UTC on .475728 mhz. Signal strength -29 DB in WSPR mode. RX: Palstar R30A and antenna horizontal loop, 529 feet long, 30 feet high. Several years ago I logged DL7NN. Weather currently 11 degrees F. Radio Beacon ZF1EJ logged at 0410 UTC on Jan. 19, 2024 on .475692 mhz in WSPR Mode. Signals were -21 DB in Douglas, MA. Bill Smith using Palstar R30A Receiver and 529 foot long horizontal loop at 30 feet antenna. Beacon is located in the Cayman Islands.
